The second edition of Gen AI Summit EU brought together 352 professionals from 13 different countries in Valencia on April 17 and 18, with 47% international attendance. Organized by My Tech Plan, the event has consolidated Valencia as a European reference for generative artificial intelligence, with 32 speakers, 5 workshops and two full days of programming.

A predominantly technical audience and 47% international

The 2026 edition gathered 352 attendees out of 390 tickets sold, a 90.3% show-up rate. The room represented 253 unique companies from sectors as diverse as banking, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, telecommunications, public sector and tech consulting.

By professional profile:

  • 58% pure technical profile (engineering, data and AI)
  • 18% C-Level and founders (70 profiles with real decision-making power)
  • The remaining 24% in product, business, IT, architecture, innovation and design

165 attendees (47% of the total) travelled to Valencia from 12 different countries, a figure that quadruples the international audience of the first edition (12% in 2025).

Five hands-on workshops sold out

The second edition launched a new format: five hands-on workshops in small groups. Seats sold out within hours, with waitlists for every workshop and personalized selection by each instructor.

Workshops delivered:

Most-voted talks: vibe coding, LLM infrastructure and governance

According to the post-event survey, the five most-voted talks were:

  1. Confessions of a Vibecoding engineer · Nicolás Grenié (Lovable Ambassador) · 13.6%
  2. Keynote · Surviving inference: the hidden plumbing of GenAI at scale · Head of AI at Freepik · 11.4%
  3. OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications · Fabio Cerullo (Director, Cycubix) · 10.2%
  4. Code refactoring with neurosymbolic AI · Mark Kram (Head of AI, Adorsys) · 9.1%
  5. Build GenAI apps in less than 5’ with Genkit · Xavier Portilla Edo (Head of Infrastructure, Voiceflow) · 7.4%

Three thematic blocks concentrated audience attention: vibe coding and vibe engineering (19.3% combined), LLM infrastructure at scale (14.2%), and security and governance (18.7%). Interest in OWASP for LLMs, European regulation and generative compute governance reflects the European sensitivity around how this technology is built and deployed.

Day 2: business and agentic commerce

The second day shifted focus from pure technical depth to the impact of generative AI on business. The opening keynote, “Ecommerce in the Generative AI Era”, delivered by Alejandra Domínguez Crausaz (Director General of SIDN, the event’s platinum sponsor), tackled the concept of agentic commerce: the scenario in which LLMs act as the interface between people and digital platforms to execute purchases end-to-end.

The session covered the associated infrastructure challenges: structured product data, transaction-ready APIs, real-time inventory synchronization, and the emerging protocols that allow AI agents to close transactions on behalf of the user.

Beyond the keynote, the day covered a broad range of vertical and technical applications:

  • “Evidenze Data Space: Clinical Research Future via Agentic Programming & Sovereign Governance”, with Cristian Luna (AI Architect at Evidenze): agents and sovereign data governance applied to clinical research.
  • Panel “Governance, Ethics & AI Regulation in Europe”, with David Roldán, Andrei Baciu, Milos Borenovic and Johanna Angulo: regulation, ethics and compliance in the European context.
  • “On-Premise LLM Inference: Viable, Private & Simpler Than You Think”, with Manuel S. Lemos (AI Engineer at NaizFit): when and how to deploy LLM inference on owned infrastructure.
  • “Building Voice AI Agents”, with Sasha Denisov (CTO at Brainform.ai): voice agent architecture applied to commerce use cases.
  • “Build Gen AI Apps in Under 5 Minutes with Genkit”, with Xavier Portilla Edo (Head of Cloud Infrastructure at Voiceflow): rapid GenAI app development with Google’s framework.
  • “Take Complete Control of Your AI Agents”, with David Garrido Leal: agent control and observability in production environments.

The day closed with a 2-hour networking cocktail at the venue.

The post-event survey captured significant data on the networking dimension of the Summit: 83% of attendees exchanged contact with at least one new person, and 55.6% did so with three or more. Figures that confirm the active-community character of the event.

Attendee feedback

Selected comments from the post-event survey:

An amazing experience. I learned a lot about AI, met amazing people, and have a new plan for improving my business and life.

Interesting talks about cutting-edge AI for software engineering. In practice, not in theory.

The workshops were really valuable and gave useful practical advice. I could ask questions and validate my assumptions directly with the speakers.

A nice, fairly generalist event, with the added benefit of being based in Europe, so it feels more accessible and relevant to our ecosystem.

Toward the 2027 edition

“This second edition confirms two things: the audience is here, and the format can scale much further. For 2027, we’re going for a step change”, says Julieta Zalduendo, CEO and founder of My Tech Plan.

Key plans for the 2027 edition:

  • Flagship Thursday-to-Friday format, with two full days.
  • Fully immersive experience designed for an international audience that travels to Valencia specifically for the event.
  • ×2 scale in attendees, partners and global reach.
  • Clusterized community strategy with international focus.
  • Year-round meetups to keep the community active between editions.

Gen AI Community: year-round activity

Beyond the annual event, My Tech Plan is developing Gen AI Community, a hands-on space for professionals working with generative AI focused on testing, sharing and applying the technology, on an ethical, common-good foundation.
